Directions are on the gift box. Basically, you just shake the markers really well. Get them flowing then you write whatever you like all over the chalk cock. He has plenty of surface to cover, he's very girthy. When all the art is done, we recommend spraying a light clear coat all over him to preserve the art. If you mess up, gently wipe with some water, let dry then start again.
